Cables in Green
2008 February 26
I’ve got a pretty picture, so I’m going to squeeze in a quick post while I’m waiting for the rice cooker to do its thing.

One cabled bag, one skein of… oh, shoot, what was it called? some sort of Icelandic wool. yummy, fuzzy stuff. Basically the bag is a cable sampler that we’ll be making in a lys class. Sew it up and add a quick handle and you’ve got a bag! I’ve never been a fan of swatches without function. Sweaters that don’t get worn, bags that don’t hold anything, hats that I never remember to wear, that I’m okay with.
That’s really lovely, Katie. I might make one from the leftovers from my dad’s vest!
The cable knit has to be my favorite.
You’re so great for visiting the other blog–I just don’t have enough time for it though… It KILLS me to leave it unupdated for so long. And it’s not that I haven’t drawn funny little things for Scooter, just that it takes time to get them downloaded, cleaned up, posted… *sigh* I might just leave it up until I feel like doing it again? *laughing* Who knows. If I leave it up, I could host a contest to see how much spam buildup will be there before I post again, ha ha!
